Oxshott Community Hub
The new home of Oxshott Scouts and Guides
1st Oxshott Scouts and 1st Oxshott Girl Guides are rebuilding their halls.
We have worked tirelessly on getting funding to rebuild our old hall and I am overjoyed to say we finally after 5 years of hard work were awarded over £1.2 million from Your Fund Surrey to rebuild our premises. This is in addition to funds we have raised ourselves and a grant from Elmbridge Council CIL fund too. The new building will be known as" Oxshott Community Hub" as we look forward to welcoming a wide range of community groups using our wonderful new facilities.
The "old" build has now been demolished, with some usual delays due to asbestos being found in the wall cavities and foundations and we are hoping to welcome you all to our grand opening in SPRING 2024 - Further details in due course.
We offer a very varied programme allowing boys and girls to challenge themselves and try new activities, building self confidence and self esteem. Our boys and girls attend a number of different schools. Scouts and Girl Guiding allow them to foster friendship locally away from school.
